1) How long have you worked for Triumph?
6.5 years
2) What education did you have prior to working for Triumph?
Level 3 BTEC in Engineering. Triumph then sponsored me on an apprenticeship through my HNC for 2 years. Following the completion of my apprenticeship, I was sponsored for my foundation degree for 1 year and then 1 more year to complete my full degree.
3) Why did you choose to work for Triumph?
I raced motocross bikes at a young age for 6 years and have always been passionate about motorbikes. I came here for 1 week work experience during high school and really enjoyed it. This gave me the chance to work in each department and it also increased my interest in the Triumph brand. To gain more experience, I also came to Triumph for a summer placement.
4) Where else have you worked within Triumph?I have always worked in Design, within the Electrical team.
My day-to-day role is supporting the instrumentation and testing of development bikes on and off-site and also data processing and analysis of data.
6. What role do you have within your team at Triumph and how do they help you?
As a Senior Engineer – Test and Development, the team members are very knowledgeable, supporting, and hardworking. The sharing of knowledge and technical skills further develops my knowledge and enables me to become a better engineer.
7. What do you like best about Triumph?
The people I work with, great team work to achieve great results.
8. How have you progressed whilst working at Triumph?I started on a summer placement and was then taken on as an apprentice Electrical Technician. Through studying and consistent drive for improvement, I progressed through the roles to Senior Engineer-Test and Development.
I had a summer placement to gain some industry experience. I went on to have an interview with the Electrical team leader where I was offered an apprenticeship.
