Triumph motorcycles have graced the silver screen and television for decades, with actors choosing to co-star with their own from as early as the 1950s. From the moment Marlon Brando hopped on his Triumph Thunderbird 6T in The Wild One back in 1953, the spirit of Triumph has captivated the hearts of legendary actors.

Considered one of Hollywood’s greatest, Brando helped shape icons such as Elvis Presley and James Dean, who also enjoyed Triumph motorcycles both on and off screen. These legends recognised the unrivalled power, timeless design, and exhilaration that only a Triumph can deliver. In fact, the last motorcycle James Dean purchased prior to his untimely departure was a TR5 Trophy, the very embodiment of his free-spirited nature.

Adaptability and timeless designs are the hallmark of Triumph motorcycles. Whether it's evading a creature from outer space in the 1958 sci-fi horror flick "The Blob" or sharing the screen with the incomparable Elvis in the '60s rodeo romcom "Stay Away, Joe", Triumph motorcycles have proven themselves across all genres and eras.

When it comes to fast-paced, pulse-pounding action, a more recent notable appearance is Chris Pratt tearing through the jungle astride a Scrambler in 2015's Jurassic World. The latest billing was 2023’s Netflix film Heart of Stone, where the awe-inspiring Speed Triple RR roars alongside actress Gal Gadot.

Notable enthusiasts like Tom Cruise have made it their not-so-impossible mission to feature the motorcycles in their movies. In the thrilling Mission Impossible 2 and the adrenaline-fueled Edge of Tomorrow, Cruise elevated the intensity and pushed the boundaries of what's possible — just as Triumph does every day.

Television is no exception to Triumph’s enduring legacy. Norman Reedus, in his fight for survival amidst a zombie apocalypse in The Walking Dead, finds solace and strength aboard a formidable 1960s Bonneville Chopper. And who could forget Henry Winkler, the iconic leather clad Fonz from the beloved show Happy Days, effortlessly complementing his signature style with a Trophy TR5.

Triumph continues to capture hearts and imaginations by embodying the spirit of adventure, freedom, and the pursuit of the extraordinary. Each twist of the throttle propels viewers into a realm of unparalleled excitement.

Let the For the Ride Film Club's Top 10 watchlist be your guide as you embark on a cinematic journey with Triumph motorcycles to the exhilarating experiences that await.
