Macadam Triumph Factory Racing to Field Four Rider Sportbike Team
Triumph’s commitment to motorsports continues to grow and in 2025 that means an expansion to four riders in the Pirelli National Sportbike Championship. Katie Hand and Jayden Martin remain with the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team for this upcoming season and are joined by new teammates Lewis Smart and Brodie Gawith.
The four young riders will be using Triumph Daytona 660 machines, the bike that won the inaugural sportbike championship in 2024.
Martin visited many of the British circuits for the first time in 2024 and finished inside the top 10 multiple times including three top seven finishes. The 17-year-old Australian finished 11th overall in the championship and will be looking to go even better in 2025.
Hand finished in the points multiple times in her first season on the 660. Unfortunately she broke her collarbone during a wet Cadwell Park session, missing several races but made her return at the last round finishing both races and is looking for a strong 2025 season.
Bedfordshire rider Lewis Smart joins the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team after winning the NLR 2024 National 600 Endurance series and finishing third in the 2024 BSB Superteens Championship.
Australian Brodie Gawith is the fourth rider to join the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team. Gawith finished second in the 2024 BSB Superteen Championship and is looking forward to his debut on the Daytona 660.
The Pirelli National Sportbike Championship starts with Oulton Park on 3 - 5 May.
Brodie Gawith, #27: “This will be my second year in the UK and first in this series. I hope to adapt to the new bike and class quickly, fight for podiums and aim for a strong finish in the overall standings.”
Jayden Martin, #85: “For 2025 my goals are to get more comfortable on the bike and tracks, to improve my set up to be more competitive and be in the front group battling for podiums. Last year was my learning year, so this year is my chance to show what I can do.”
Katie Hand, #66: “I’m looking forward to the 2025 season on the Triumph as it’ll be my second. Everything is a little more settled down this year after 2024 being the first year of the sportbike class and the 660. I’m very excited to see my progression through the year and what we can do.”
Lewis Smart, #32: “I am really looking forward to this season with Triumph. It’s a new team and bike for me, and I’m excited to see what I can do. My main goal this year is to be on the top step in a race and finish in the top six in the championship.”
